Home Use For WordQ/SpeakQ:
Strategic Transitions WordQ
Site License –Yearly Student Home Activation License
As part of the license agreement, students who attend schools who have a site license for WordQ have access to the software at home as long as they attend that school. It must be renewed following the same directions each September. Some students have access to SpeakQ as well, but that is not a school based license. It is with individual students based on recommendation of their teachers. The following directions will give the student access to the software on their home computer until September 1, 2014. (These directions were adjusted for internet download from instructions given by Strategic Transitions.)
First time installations:
Download free software from the WordQ/SpeakQ website by going to http://www.goqsoftware.com/requestTrial.php
Access the Community website by going to http://community.strategictransitions.com.
Use the login and password that has been provided to you. (login user name and password available from Instructional coaches)
Select “Files” from the top menu.
Select the “WordQ 3 En Win (or Mac) Home access” folder.
Select the WordQ activation link.
Select “Run”.
Select “Unzip”.
It is important to note that the activation expires on September 1st and will have to be renewed yearly for continued use of this program.
Renewing an existing license:
Access the Community website by going to http://community.strategictransitions.com.
Use the login and password that has been provided to you. (login user name and password available from Instructional Coaches)
Select “Files” from the top menu.
Select the “WordQ 3 En Win (or Mac) Home access” folder.
Select the WordQ activation link.
Select “Run”.
Select “Unzip”.
It is important to note that the activation expires on September 1st and will have to be renewed yearly for continued use of this program.
*** Schools may be provided with a new Password each year, or the Password may be reset. If so, the new password will be provided to the GHSD Technology Department. We will distribute this information in September of next year.
Student home users acquiring software under this license agreement are not entitled to free telephone support from WordQ or its distributors. However, support can be obtained through online FAQs located at http://www.goqsoftware.com and http://www.strategictransitions.com.
Steps to WordQ Home Use with DVDs and Flashdrives
1. Install WordQ-Install WordQ using the DVD or Flashdrive given to you. Once you have installed the WordQ on your system, follow the link below to download and run the extension file (no login required). This will extend the use of the WordQ until September. (You will need to download the program the same way next September if your child still attends Golden Hills School Division.)
