What is SpeakQ?speakQ is an add-on that enhances WordQ.
SpeakQ’s forgiving speech-to-text capability enables individuals with graphomotor challenges to express themselves in text format. Train it to understand your voice with no reading required – recognizes soft pronunciation like slippery b’s: “beneficial” vs. “an official”. An easy tool to implement, SpeakQ works without voice commands so there’s nothing to remember, and it eliminates the need to repeat or to say “scratch that” and repeat from the beginning—it’s frustration-free. When used with WordQ, SpeakQ lets you type the words you know and speak the ones you don’t. SpeakQ offers suggestions for words you have difficulty pronouncing. For students whose speech isn’t clear, or who have difficulty thinking in phrases or sentences, they can switch from typing or using word prediction with SpeakQ. |
